Welcome to Le Playroom; a whimsical yet thoughtfully designed haven for children and their families—a space where imagination blossoms and everyday moments turn into cherished memories.
Bathed in soft, natural light filtering through striped blinds, Le Playroom blends country-chic charm with practical, family-friendly details. The room is anchored by warm oak floors and walls scattered with watercolour polka dots, creating a light, cheerful atmosphere. A sofa in pastel pink checks invites parents and children to snuggle up for a story, while hand-painted portraits of a duck, bunny, fish, and turtle bring gentle storytelling to the walls—turning the space into a living, breathing storybook.
At the heart of the room stands a round blue table, paired with purple chairs—perfect for shared meals, games, and craft projects. Surrounding it is ample space for little ones to run, dance, and play freely, with a wooden Pikler frame offering a safe sense of adventure through climbing and sliding. A set of toadstool seats gathers around a sensory table, scattered with pom-poms, colourful sticks, and tactile treasures, encouraging imaginative exploration.
Adding a note of elegance and history, a purple chandelier dangles overhead—a treasured heirloom passed down from Sitara’s great-grandmother. Once black, it was lovingly repainted in a rich violet hue, now casting a soft, magical glow over the room.
Storage has been beautifully integrated throughout. Scalloped shelves and a matching cabinet display books and toys like little treasures, while a wicker-and-wood unit along the back wall keeps linens, art supplies, and decorative objects tucked neatly away. Alongside these, pine wood storage units fitted with pink and purple containers offer smart, accessible organisation for everyday essentials, blending functionality with playful charm. Additional hidden storage cabinets ensure the space remains organised without sacrificing style.
For musical moments and quiet reflection, a small upright piano stands ready, inviting spontaneous concerts or gentle lullabies shared between parent and child. A giant art roll mounted to the wall lets young artists unroll their next masterpiece and paint directly onto the surface, encouraging creative expression on a grand scale.
